A business card does its job in about three seconds: it gets held, glanced at, and either kept or binned. Our cards are built for the "kept" pile. We print full color on genuine cover stock, trim to tight tolerances, and run every file past a human before it hits the press.
Start with the everyday 14 pt if you hand out cards by the box. Step up to 16 pt — our most popular — for a noticeably sturdier feel, or go to laminated 18 pt or 19 pt when you want the card itself to make the statement. Finishes range from glare-free matte to a velvet suede laminate people can't stop running a thumb over.
Trim size: Standard 3.5" × 2".
File setup: Add 0.125" bleed on every edge and keep text 0.125" inside the trim (the safe zone). Export as PDF/X, 300 dpi, CMYK color. So a standard card's file should measure 3.75" × 2.25".
Rounded corners: Trimmed at a 1/4" radius — keep logos and text clear of the corner area.
Rich black: For large black areas use C60 M40 Y40 K100 rather than 100 K alone.
